TEXAS SHOT EVENT - AUSTIN & SAN ANTONIO - JUNE
11th & 12th Our 4th Annual Event (June 2004)
was June 11th at the Austin Cafe and June 12th at the San Antonio Cafe.
Our good friend JoAnn Faucheux and her husband Larry were gracious enough
to host a wonderful Pre-Party at their home in Joshua, TX. the Thursday
before the shot event. They hosted a great party and I also got to
get my visit to the Dallas cafe in too! I must say Austin was an absolute BLAST...even if the bartender cut me off
and I fell off the barstool as they all claim I did ;-) The staff
was phenomenal and due to having happy hour prices all night we had some
very "happy" people - was anyone sober? LOL. Myself, Denise and my
2004 Shot King Chris Ashton had a special event shot made for the
collectors and it was a hit! The San Antonio Event was a HUGE
success! We held our charity raffle/auction there for the AHA in
memory of my good friend Richard Chaves, Jr. who passed away June 11th,
2003. The raffle was flawless and the auction was definitely
more successful than we thought it would be. I was chosen to be the
auctioneer and after alot of very hard work that was definitely worth it,
we raised $3,841.00 for the American Heart Association in memory of
Rich!!!! A HUGE thanks to the collectors and different Cafe's
that donated items as well as those that bought raffle tickets and bid on
auction items, we couldn't have done it without you all!! |
