PinSanity #2 - Las Vegas Sept. 5th-7th, 2006

2006 was the second year of Pinsanity & before that was Pindex. This was my 4th year attending the Vegas event, whatever it may be called! I've been to Vegas the last 4 years and each year it just get's better ~ of course this year some of my great shot collector friends joined me; Paul (my President), George (my bodyguard), Steve K (my husband) ~ inside jokes by the way ~ and that crazy Pineapple Lady Lois from Jacksonville. This year the party started off properly at the Hulin's with the 2nd Annual PinWizards Las Vegas Party/BBQ. They were great hosts as always, plenty of food & drink (oh yeah and a chocolate fountain, YUM!) There was a raffle & auction that was held to benefit a collector friend of Michelle's who recently passed away and from what I remember it was a huge success. Thanks for a great time guys! Then on Tuesday evening was the meet & greet at the cafe. Of course that's where you get your free drink tickets and for some ODD reason people kept giving me theirs and I mean come on, I didn't want to NOT use them and hurt anyone's feelings :) The party was fun as it always it, it gives people a chance to meet friends old & new (Hi Queen Roni!), trade, eat and drink! I was doing pretty good until those crazy Greek guys from Athens heard I was the shot queen and could take on anyone...needless to say the shot they gave me was the size of a regular drink. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it but as always, I did. Thanks Yiannis and Giorgios for the shots and thanks Giorgio's for being easy on the eyes....hahaha :)
The trading hall festivities started Wednesday and ran through Thursday. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the trading hall this year, since I don't collect many pins & really just go to see the people. Wednesday, my group of shot friends and I took a road trip to the Hoover Dam. Pretty cool to see (even if it's like 106 degrees outside!) and of course after all the times I've been to Vegas I had to go at some point. We had dinner at a really neat place called Claim Jumpers - I'll be back there for sure, too bad we don't have them in Missouri! Thursday was my day to leave so I went and visited friends in the trading hall for a few hours and then it was off to the airport to come home.

Another GREAT year, thanks to ALL that made it possible and thanks to all of my friends (you know who you are) for always making it a fun trip for me, your the best!
